ABOUT US

Thatch & Roses was brought to life by Emily, the visionary and hands-on creative florist. Starting out in a workshop tucked away at the back of the 16th Century thatched farmhouse that Emily shares with her family, “Thatch & Roses” was born.

Since 2018, weddings have always been the main passion for Thatch & Roses, but during the Covid pandemic there was a community need a local florist to deliver bunches of joy, and so the retail side of the business was born.

  • "I am passionate about flowers, working with the seasons & using colour & texture to craft beautiful arrangements for any occasion."

  • EMILY’S STORY

Emily’s passion started with wedding flowers, more importantly helping couples craft a wedding that really represents them, shaking off the ‘shoulds’ of the wedding industry - all through the medium of flowers.

Emily's personal experience of being a bride and losing a close loved one to motor neurones disease within just a few days of getting married means she understands the true meaning of a wedding - the commitment of love between two people.

Her own experience while wedding planning was not one she would want any of her couples to have as she was made to feel like she was just picking things out of a catalogue after a long sales pitch.

Here at Thatch & Roses we are proud to approach wedding flowers differently. We want our clients to know we're listening, putting their vision at the centre of it all whilst using our expertise to guide them.

We advise on how to create a statement and how to maximise impact. We're always upfront and honest in everything that we do - no question is a stupid question!

OUR TEAM

The team has expanded over the years with a permanent team of expert artisan florists and customer service staff alongside freelance florists for larger events to make up the experienced hands on deck that we need.

As an inclusive team of designers we welcome clients from all walks of life, of any and every religion and of course are advocates for the LGTBQ+ community, in our eyes love is love.

We specialise in weddings across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk having worked at venues such as Manor Barn, Chippenham Park, & Childerley along side private estates and garden for a variety of marquee and tipi style weddings. We are recommended suppliers for Willow Grange, The Old Hall & the Unique Norfolk Venues group - Manor Mews, Pentney Abbey, Oxnead Hall & Reymerston Hall. And we are always recommended on merit alone, never because of commission.
