Named after our wonderful city of Ely which is close by to our soap kitchen. The name Ely literally means ‘Isle of Eels.’ Historically, Ely was surrounded by water and marshland and was only accessible by boat until the Fens were drained in the 17th century. These waters were filled with eels, which were a vital source of income to the area. The word Elver means baby eel.

Created with our moisturising base of olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter.
